    Set of 3 blown premium quality hand painted goose size Easter Eggs. 
    They make a gorgeous display to the holidays or great addition to your collection. 

    Made using a wax resist (batik) method. Beeswax was scooped into the stylus and heated in a candle flame. The molten wax was applied to the white egg with a writing motion; any bit of shell covered with wax sealed to remain white. Then the egg was dyed yellow and more wax applied. Bits of shell covered with wax remained that color. After the final color the wax was removed by holding the egg next to the flame and gently melting it.

    Historically, one of the most popular Easter gifts was a blown out real eggshell and decorated in various patterns using batik technique Easter egg. Family members, friends gave them to each other and a bowl of Easter eggs would also be set out in the house, to protect against misfortunes.

    I was unable to create beautiful eggs this year, so I bought these for my friend's children.  Their reaction was intense and immediate.  They had never seen such intricate designs (and I was impressed at the supurb craftmanship)!  The quality was first rate --- these were done with care and precision.
