The glassmaker blows it with a blowpipe until the viscous lead crystal has the desired form. During cooling process the artisan shapes it to the desired form.
Cutting: Elaborate finishing techniques such as cuts, etchings and frosting give the Arnstadt lead crystal its extraordinary charisma and brilliance which is evidence of true craftsmanship. The basis for the perfect finishing touch is a steady hand. The artist delicately applies the guiding marks. Perceptiveness and skill alone determine the execution of the carving.
