Christmas Stockings and Holders

Christmas stockings are a very famous part of holiday decorations around the home. The legend claims Saint Nicholas to come down from chimneys and reward the children who have been behaved throughout the year with gold, and fill the misbehaving children’s stockings with coal. This has been an incentive for kids to be good all year round. Traditionally, Christmas Stockings are hung around the fireplace, and nowadays usually filled with candy and other small gifts. Most Christmas Stockings are shaped like a large sock, usually simple velvet or sometimes colorfully animated.
