This hand-painted egg is adorned with a high-polished enamel with golden trim. The egg opens on a hinge and closes shut with a magnet, to keep the box securely shut.
The piece comes in a beautiful gift box.
The Mosaic egg is a jeweled enameled Easter egg made under the supervision of the Russian jeweler Peter Carl Faberge in 1914. The egg was made for Nicholas II of Russia, who presented it to his wife, the Empress Alexandra Feodorovna on Easter 1914. It's Easter 1914 counterpart (presented to the Dowager Empress) is the Catherine the Great Egg.

This egg is quite pretty. The blue and pink enamels are very lovely. I highly recommend this egg. I have a few kerfuffles though. Firstly, on top of the egg near the faux pearl, there is like a line that looks kind of like a seam in the enamel. Secondly, there is the surprise frame stand, I’m disappointed that it does not fit inside the egg where it’s supposed to. And thirdly, the image on the surprise stand is very poorly done, it is merely printed on paper and stuck inside the frame, and one side of my picture is printed terribly, it’s half on the paper and half missing and a big white gap on one side. The other side is acceptable despite being paper, but it would have been nicer if the creators did like a ceramic picture carving inside the frame. Overall, while there were issues, the egg is very beautiful and is a nice addition to my growing collection! I would recommend buying it, but maybe wait to buy until it’s on sale!
Even nicer than expected!
Perfect to start a collection. Arrived very quickly and packed in quality boxes making them beautiful as gifts! I would recommend!!
Beautiful...just as described
Great ...high quality
but a little smaller than I thought. The egg is all right, but I was disappointed in the children's photo on the stand - mere paper. A transparent cover it would make it look much better.
It doesnt fit
The quality of your beautiful art objects is amazing and very reasonable ( I have bought from you before several times!) however,I thought that the little standing frame would fit inside the egg- it does not. That is my only complaint, and I will still purchase from you in the future- perhaps you can mention for future sales that it is not meant to go inside of the egg.
