Inspired by the historic 1906 Swan Imperial Egg created by master workman Henrik Wigström for Tsar Nicholas II as an Easter gift to Dowager Empress Maria Feodorovna, this elegant design reflects one of the few Imperial eggs to feature a remarkable mechanical surprise. The original masterpiece was covered in matte mauve enamel and adorned with a diamond trellis pattern, created to commemorate the Empress’s 40th wedding anniversary.

Inside the authentic 1906 creation was an intricate clockwork swan inspired by the famous 18th century Silver Swan automaton. When wound, the miniature swan lifted its wings, moved its tail and feet, and gracefully raised its head, showcasing the extraordinary technical skill of the workshop artisans. Today, the original egg remains in the distinguished Sandoz Collection in Switzerland.

Echoing that refined heritage, this beautifully enameled blue egg features luminous panels accented with gold tone garlands and crystal details.
