  • The Royal eggs, also popularly known as the Fabergé eggs, were created under the management of Russian goldsmith, Peter Carl Fabergé, in St. Petersburg, Russia between the years 1885 to 1916. These were originally made for Tsar Alexander III as annual gifts to his wife Empress Maria Feodorovna. The first Easter egg in 1885 was created to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the royal couple’s betrothal. Year after year, the Imperial eggs were redesigned by Fabergé, each was unique, more intricate, and loaded with a different surprise. After Alexander III had passed away, the tradition was continued by his son, Nicholas II. Yearly, two eggs were crafted for both his wife, Alexandra Fedorovna, and his mother, Empress Maria Fedorovna. BestPysanky rekindled the story of the luxurious eggs. Inspired by the Russian Royal Easter Egg designs, a new line of eggs was created using wood, pewter, high-polished enamel, Swarovski Crystals, artificial pearls, and other variations. Whether they are for holiday ornaments or as personal collectibles, these decorative eggs are a must-have.
This hand-painted sparkling egg is adorned with a high-polished green enamel with golden trim.
It is decorated with light pink enameled roses and green leaves. This beauty stands on a golden stand.
The egg opens on a hinge and closes shut with a magnet, to keep the box securely shut.
The piece comes in a beautiful gift box.

Classic White Beauty

This is a very classy looking egg and the stand is perfect. It isn't an Imperial egg; however, just as beautiful.

Stunning Faberge Egg design!

This egg is not a direct reproduction of an Imperial Egg, but it looks very similar to an Egg pendant created by Faberge between 1900-1906 (the original can be seen at the Hillwood Estate Museum in Washington D.C., if I remember correctly). This Egg is gorgeous in every detail and exudes an almost naval quality in its color scheme (navy blue, red and white). A real head-turner in person. I have a white onyx cube pedestal that is about 4"x 4" and is itself a Faberge piece adorned with some gold fittings depicting garlands and wreaths. Once the Egg is placed on top it is transformed completely - absolutely amazing. Another one of the finer Faberge "reproductions" presented here in terms of design, finish and presentation. AAA+++
