The Royal eggs, also popularly known as the Fabergé eggs, were created under the management of Russian goldsmith, Peter Carl Fabergé, in St. Petersburg, Russia between the years 1885 to 1916. These were originally made for Tsar Alexander III as annual gifts to his wife Empress Maria Feodorovna.
The first Easter egg in 1885 was created to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the royal couple’s betrothal. Year after year, the Imperial eggs were redesigned by Fabergé, each was unique, more intricate and loaded with a different surprise. After Alexander III had passed away, the tradition was continued by his son, Nicholas II. Yearly, two eggs were crafted for both his wife, Alexandra Fedorovna and his mother, Empress Maria Fedorovna.
BestPysanky rekindled the story of the luxurious eggs. Inspired by the Russian Royal Easter Egg designs, a new line of eggs was created using wood, pewter, high-polished enamel, Swarovski Crystals, artificial pearls, and other variations. Whether they are for holiday ornaments or as personal collectibles, these decorative eggs are a must-haves.
